Your mission statement is a lie
Written by Chris Merriam

Mission statements are often bull$#it. Let's get real here for a moment; a mission statement is merely a goal of what a company wants to become. If your mission statement begins with the phrase "we strive to"... this basically says to me that you're going to try to... but you might not. In stead of writing a mission statement, develop a company philosophy based on who your company is today; not what you want your company to become tomorrow.

At FreshInk, 'we do good things' has become a general company philosophy. We do good things in the design world. We do good things in our community. We do good things for the people we work with. We do good things for the environment. We even do good things for our compeditors.
